An Overview of Thin Brick Veneer Installations

In recent years, thin brick veneer has all but dominated residential, commercial, and industrial markets. To help you obtain a better understanding as to why, our team has put together a brief overview of the many reasons people love thin brick veneer so much – including precisely why it’s so easy it is to install!

Perks of Installing Thin Brick Veneer

Due to the fact that thin brick veneer is thinner and significantly lighter than full-thickness brick, it requires much fewer raw materials to manufacture than its counterparts, dramatically enhancing its sustainability as well as making it infinitely faster and easier to install. Plus, it doesn’t require any of the typical brick ledges, heavy footers, lintels, or headers for additional stability that standard brick would demand, which only further increases its convenience. Compared to other materials, thin brick veneer also absorbs energy and reflects sound more easily, allowing it to act as a natural noise reducer. It will also not fade or damage as easily over time, and will act as a natural insulator, protecting your investments for years to come. Basically, it’s a remarkable product with virtually infinite benefits to appreciate, from superior durability, construction versatility, and sustainability, to insulating properties, and comprehensive cost efficiency.

Installing Thin Brick Veneer

With the EZ Wall® Engineered Thin Brick System, installing thin brick veneer has never been easier. The simple design of our EZ-Wall® panels and fasteners allow them to attach cleanly to virtually any surface and still guarantee ideal support. Once the surface has been prepared and all the panels are attached, all you have to do is simply fasten the thin brick veneer to the panels by applying quarter-sized dabs of mastic onto either ends of the backs of each piece of thin brick veneer and starting from the outside corners and working your way in, attaching each piece to the panels in whatever desirable pattern you wish – leaving space in between each piece for your grout, of course. The only other things you’ll have to do from there are carefully brush off your excess mortar and take care of your initial clean up while you’re waiting for everything to completely dry and harden. Optimally, you will not want to clean your actual thin brick until at least 48 hours after initial installation.
