How to clean paint runoff from aluminum windows onto brick?
Question by dcrusse: How to clean paint runoff from aluminum windows onto brick?
I have white runoff from my aluminum faced windows in my brick house. It’s like a powder coating that sometimes rubs off on your fingers if you wipe at it. I’ve tried cleaning it with soap and water and some kind of brick cleaner I got from Home Depot. Nothing works. And advice is greatly appreciated!

a good brick cleaner is muriatic acid. also known as pool acid. be sure to use protective gloves and scrub with stiff bristled brush. then rinse with plain water to remove any residue.

oxidized aluminum……try a straight lye solution it eats aluminum ( don’t get it on the windows ), or, find some solution that picks up aluminum & warsh it with that!
